Christmas. It's a story (or set of stories!) that many of us have heard and sung so many times that we can pretty much tell it ourselves. And yet, behind the nostalgia lies a story whose details most of us have missed. Like really missed. Along with many of it's most powerful messages and the ways they call us to live out this story in our own time and place.

This Advent and Christmas season, we are making our way through the core "Christmas stories" in order to reflect on the version of the stories that have been passed down to us, deconstruct these stories, discover them anew--with all of their beauty, promise, and challenge, and consider how we will pass them on to future generations.
