In this series, Pastor Eric offers a fresh perspective on the ancient Jewish and Christian vision of sabbath. In a world that is often structured in ways that prioritize endless productivity, extraction, accumulation, and growth, we explore the ever-timely wisdom, challenge, and transforming power of sabbath:

of restorative rest; of basking in beauty and savoring life; of saying "no" and setting boundaries; of prioritizing community care over looking for "do-it-all" heros that inevitably burn out.

Ultimately, sabbath is an invitation to prioritize, root ourselves in, and move toward that which enhances and honors our inter-dependent web of life. Embodying this invitation individually and collectively is at the heart of recovering our humanity in a dehumanizing world.
